Aurangabad Road Accident: High School Teacher Killed on NH-19 After Speeding Bike Hits Bullet

Aurangabad, Bihar: A tragic road accident on National Highway 19 (NH-19) in Aurangabad claimed the life of a 44-year-old high school mathematics teacher on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Madan Mathur, a resident of the Jamhor police station area, who was posted as a teacher at Siris High School.

The sudden demise of the school teacher has left his family devastated, leaving his three daughters without a father.

How the Accident Happened on NH-19

According to local reports, Madan Mathur was riding his Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle to an agency in Aurangabad for routine servicing.

As he reached near the Bullet showroom in front of Dev Hospital under the Town Police Station limits, a speeding TVS Apache motorcycle rammed into his bike from behind. The impact of the collision was so severe that Mathur fell onto the concrete road, sustaining fatal head injuries. He reportedly died on the spot.

Following the crash, the Apache rider managed to flee the scene with his vehicle.

Police Investigation and Action

Upon receiving information about the NH-19 accident, a Dial-112 police patrol team rushed to the spot. The injured teacher was immediately taken to the Aurangabad Sadar Hospital, where doctors officially declared him brought dead.

Town Police Station In-charge, Baban Baitha, stated: “The crashed Bullet motorcycle has been seized. We are currently scanning CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify and arrest the absconding Apache rider. The body has been handed over to the family members after the post-mortem examination.”

Grief and Mourning in the Family and School

Madan Mathur was the youngest of two brothers and the primary breadwinner of his family. His sudden death has plunged his household into deep mourning. His wife was seen losing consciousness repeatedly at the Sadar Hospital, a heartbreaking sight that moved onlookers to tears. He is survived by his wife and three young daughters.

Known for his simple nature and dedication, Mathur taught mathematics to classes 9 and 10 at Siris High School. As the news of his death spread, a wave of grief swept through the school management and students. Local teacher associations and officials from the Education Department have expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family.
